prada-esque

I bought a little bit of black lace from the haberdashery store (one of my FAVOURITE words) and fashioned it into a Prada-style headband. I have since seen the big, fat crochet ones available at Sportsgirl, but I'm not sure I want to replicate the EXACT look. Mind, the black is a little hard to see on black hair. I may try another in a lighter colour.

christmas pinup dress

Better late than never. We just got some of the pics back from our work
Christmas function. I was asked to be Santa's helper.
I had this dress made for the occassion by Jenni at Jack's Daughter.

vintage kitchenalia

We used to fill this with lollies. I kept eating them. We don't anymore.

I am head over heels for melamine.

The other half has a better eye for vintage homewares than I do. All this stuff is thrifted.

Old tin with the cutest pattern ever.

Vintage, Italian picnic set. The bottom contains bowls,
dinner plates and bread & butter plates.

Weird and ridiculous - but I love them.

ninja bread men

I made these delicious ninja bread men for morning tea tomorrow. Noms.

this morning

To my right.

To my left.

This is where I live. This is the beach, three doors down from my place. Heaven.

thrifted balenciaga pumps

$4 from St Vinnies. These shoes literally did not touch the shelf before I politely
snatched them out of the crusty volunteer's hands and cartwheeled toward the counter.

garage sale score

$5. Nice.

love a red lip

my favourite wedding

*sighs* In my next life...

salvation army online

Salvos has gone online! The store is small at the moment, but there
could be some bargains to be had, so I shall keep a close eye on it.
Of course, just like instore, you must trawl. Above is a
snippet of what can be found and there is free shipping until April.

thank you trashy diva

I have to make mention about some awesome customer service I recieved this week. I often shop online at Trashy Diva. I ordered a dress from from them late December, by late January when it still hadn't arrived, I became quite cranky. I fired off an email and was answered by the delightful Robyn. It appears there was some type of Paypal hitch and the dress I had ordered had now sold out. :( Robyn cheerfully offered me a dress that was double the price to make up for the mishap. Now if that aint A1 customer service, I don't know what is! I remain a (thrilled and) loyal customer. :)

thrift shop teacups

$5 from the Salvos today. :)

autumnal colours on a summer day

Got this baby from an opshop (Salvos) last week.
I'm not sure what I think, yet. Thoughts?
It had a matching belt, which I ditched for my trusty
black one to make it a bit more modern
and a bit less 1970s bridesmaid. :)

making lamingtons on australia day

Aren't my measuring cups just darling?

3/4 cup of plain flour.

Eggs fresh from the chooks' bums.
Love it when they have straw, feathers and poo on them.

Tablespoons and teaspoons.

Recently, I bought some quaint vintage plates from
opshops to serve my homemeade sweeties on.

Nom, nom, nom. Lamingtons for all. I 'm taking these in for the guys at work tomorrow. :)

The day after. :)
