backyard bounty

I turned these...

... into this.

Nom, nom, nom.

put it on the shopping list

I am coveting this book by Emily Chalmers. I'm guessing it will serve as a kind
of catalogue of things I REALLY need to have around my house.

thrifted '60s wicker handbag

I've wanted one of these handbags for a while. I have been scouring ebay and etsy...
Then today I pop into the local Salvation Army store at the tail end of my lunch break
and find this little beauty. She is just what I was looking for, and she cost me $6 -
exactly the change I had in my purse.

feel like rubbish (but am wearing a fab dress)

ANOTHER Leona. Look at the print. Look at the cut. *sighs*

vintage brooch

In addition to vintage hats and dresses, I also collect vintage brooches.
I haven't worn one for ages and this is one of my favourites.
I reckon it is from the 1950s. I get most of mine from second hand stores.

thrifted skirt and chooks

This is my new six dollar, one hundred per cent wool skirt.
I'm sick of freezing my arse off in winter. I think I'll buy a bunch from opshops
and wear them with cardigans. Featured with me are my beautiful hens.
They are apparently on strike today - all I collected  is one lonely egg.

my best friend's wedding

Here's what I wore: a gorgeous dress from Trashy Diva and a fascinator
from Mimco ($230 down to $20). I am yet to see a decent pic of my
outfit full length, but when I do, be sure that I will add it.

my love-affair with lovehearts

One thing better than the polka dot, it's the polka-dots cousin, the little heart.
Dress Leona, belt Portmans, tights who knows, wedges Melissa.

1940s style blouse

This is a divine linen-rayon 1940s style blouse I had made by Kim at Nudee Dudee.
Karen Walker pants, Topshop earrings. Bangles from ebay, Sportsgirl and Diva.

mondays shoeage

Most days I have a theme: 1940s, 1950s, 1960s... but on the odd day,
I prefer something a little more futuristic. They are not my usual
style, but I love 'em. These are my "Tiny Eyes" by Heavy Machine.

1940s dress

This has got to be one of my favourite dresses. From etsy, it is a vintage 1940s number.
You will have seen the Miss L fire's before in my blog. The flower in my hair, a gift from
my friend Cara, was from thehoneycomb on etsy.

planned wedding outfit

This is what I plan to wear to my beautiful friend's wedding at the end of March.

an australian wedding

I wore my Yoejin Bae for Target dress from a couple of years
back with a flower in my hair all the way from the US (thanks Cara).

What a gorgeous, relaxed scene as we wait for the bride.

What a gorgeous couple.

I had champagne for breakfast!

My three girls attended.
Thelma is the fairy and Tallulah and Piglet are ballerinas.
