low-fat brownies


5 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tbsp caster sugar, 5 tbsp skim milk, 3 lge mashed
bananas, 1 cup soft brown sugar, 1 tsp vanilla essence, 5 egg whites, 3/4
cup self-raising flour, 3/4 cup oatbran, icing sugar for dusting.

Blend cocoa powder, caster sugar and milk.
Beat egg whites and add to chocolate mixture.
Sift in flour and add oatbran.
Pour into cake tin and bake at 180 degrees until firm.
When cool, sift caster sugar on top for decoration.

  1. Everyone has been posting such delicious recipes recently. It's pure torture!! I would so LOVE to try these, but should probably hold off from the baking for a while. Too much holiday snacking :/

    1. Sorry it took me so long to reply. I found this for you:

      Caster sugar is a fine grind of granulated sugar. C&H makes a Baker's Sugar that works well in recipes that call for caster sugar.
