making vintage clip-ons wearable

I love, and have an amazing collection of, vintage earrings.
But the clip-ons KILL ME. I can't wear them for 30 minutes.

So I came up with a fabulous idea.

Enter the glue and the earring posts from ebay.

I took all the vintage earrings off their nasty clip-on backs.

Added a dab of glue and attached earrings posts, instead.

Ta-dah! Expect to see me wearing loads of vintage earrings. :)

  4. Clip on earrings have never bothered me, but I'm totally going to use this idea for some of my old earrings where the clip on part has broken!

  5. Thank you for this post!! I've considered doing the same thing to the myriad painful (but oh so pretty) vintage clip-ons in my jewelry box; now I see how simple it is, I really ought to get around to that!

  6. I've thought of doing this to some of the cheaper/non-hallmarked earring I have. I'd have second thoughts about doing it to the Weiss rhinestone ones I have
