Meet my '40s does '80s dress from dethrosevintage.
It has little hats printed all over it. I feel a bit frumpy
today, but one of my regular photographers reckoned
it was a great outfit so I am including. I'm getting in
to wearing my little flat school shoes with socks, very
fun look and oh, so comfy. I realise the hair is wrong -
I did have it in a snood, but I felt so "factory worker"
so I took it out and did a '50s/'60s poufy thing. :/
I am wondering is the 1940s arethe hourglass girl's friend,
I am slowly getting the idea that I should stick to 1950s.
"Fat and ugly"?! Au contraire, you look marvelous!! Love that dress, and your bouffant is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteFat and ugly??? Nonsense! This is a really cool dress and you look fantastic. I know what you mean about the snood. I have a red one and I actually look like Rosie the Riveter when I wear it.

Fat and Ugly, no way. I always admire your teeny tiny waist and get quite jealous about it X
ReplyDeleteAwwww, I hate those feeling less than cute days. But your feelings are completely unwarranted, you look lovely!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you are the polar opposite of frumpin'. You look beyond adorable in this dress! The colour with your skintone and tilt of your glasses are amaze accessories! Sorry it has taken me so long to comment back - I'm so trapped in my homework dungeon. But your comments are always so sweet and TOTALLY MAKE MY DAY! Srsly, never feel frumpy. All lady bodies are sexy!
